1. Technology categories and current status
The categories below summarize the technologies used on GlobalSalaryTax and show whether each is required, optional, or not currently active.
Purpose: Required for basic site functionality and security, including remembering privacy preference choices on this device.
Purpose: The U.S. calculator may save up to five recent calculations on your device, including salary inputs and results, so you can review them later. These records remain on your device until you delete individual history items or clear browser site data.
Purpose: Cloudflare Web Analytics collects page usage and performance information without using cookies. It is separate from Google Analytics and is not controlled by the Google Analytics setting in Privacy Preferences.
Purpose: Google Analytics helps us understand website usage, traffic sources, page performance, and general interaction patterns so we can improve GlobalSalaryTax. It loads only after you allow analytics in Privacy Preferences. If you withdraw consent, GlobalSalaryTax stops loading Google Analytics and removes the Google Analytics cookies it can identify, including _ga and cookies beginning with _ga_.
GlobalSalaryTax does not currently use advertising cookies, personalized advertising, or advertising measurement tools.
We also do not currently use Hotjar, session recordings, or heatmap tools.
2. Manage your choices
You can open Privacy Preferences from the footer to review or update your optional choices. The Google Analytics toggle controls Google Analytics only. Changing this setting does not affect essential browser storage or your locally saved calculator history.

Your privacy preference choices are stored on your device so the site can remember them. You can reset them by updating Privacy Preferences or clearing browser site data.
You can also manage cookies and browser storage through your browser settings.
